September 30, 2013

Thanks for the update. I enjoyed it a lot. That is really sad that the olds finished his life in the junkyard... Even witht the stickers. Did they take the speakers out of it before they sold it? Because that car had such a great system. I loved it. Wow, those kids are so dang fast. I cannot believe that they are running that fast! How is the Davis team? Has weber beaten Davis? That would make me so happy. Finally Weber beats the Davis Running Dynasty!!! And a PR by 1:40, that is wonderful for Levi! That makes me really happy that he keeps getting better. And now, he's going all the way to Logan for dances. Does he know where he wants to go to school? How are his papers coming? Well, we keep moving along. Things have gotten kinda tough lately, but we have found a few new investigators that are super positive, and we still have Carolina.

She still hasn't gotten baptized because the lady that she nannies for had to work on Sunday and so Carolina had to babysit. It was kinda sad, however, general conference is coming this weekend!!! I am so excited and we are going to see if we can't baptize Carolina on Sunday, and if not, we'll get her the week after! I am so excited for conference, it is not even expressable. Carolina is still really awesome too. She would love to be super active in the church, but her job is kinda tough for that, but we keep working with her. We have been working with her little siblings and her mom basically told us that they were too little and that when they want to go to church, or when they take the initiative to go to church, they can go. She basically told us that she didn't want us to take them to church. So, we have almost come to a halt with them.

A little while ago, we found someone new to teach. Her name is Claudia and she is really positive, too. She hasn't had the best life growing up. All her family is Evangelical and her dad always called her the black sheep because she wasn't always constant in going to church. However, she seems really excited and we had an extremely spiritual experience with her last night. She had goen to Xela for the week and we didn't know when we could go, so we decided to stop by yesterday. It was a great lesson. We talked about the Plan of Salvation. Everything was going pretty well. We taught her about the Celestial kingdom and asked her if she knew what she had to do to get in. That's where we entered with baptism and we challenged her to be baptized. It was really cool because she was pretty willing. Also, just before we got to her house, she was watching the BYU Channel and saw a lady talking about her conversion. What a great coincidence! It was wonderful. She talked to us about how the mormons that she knows have usually been pretty close families and she is kinda envious of that. I felt touched to testify to her about our Heavenly Father's love for her. She just started to cry. It was a wonderful experience. It was so great. She is going to go to conference and is going to love it. She has been prepared.

Yesterday at church, we met  someone new as well. His name is Celvin and seems pretty awesome. His wife is a Mormon, and apparently 10 years ago she would always beg him to go to church and he wouldn't. But now, she has left him just a little bit and has realized that he needs to go to church. His boss also told him that he should go. So, yesterday he showed up and loved it. He was taking notes all day long. Today we have anotehr appointment with him.

I love this work and everything that the Lord has done for me. I love the guidance of the Spirit that all of us can have. I know that the Lord gives us trials so that we can learn from the Spirit. Love you and thanks for all your support, mom.
